GDLS Maintenance Team Land in Taji
07 June 2015

On Sunday Al-Burhan Airways had the pleasure of welcoming a General Dynamic Landing System (GDLS) team aboard, carrying all personnel from Baghdad International Airport to Taji Military Camp in order to continue maintenance works on Iraqi tanks. The ABA Agusta 109-E is the first aircraft in history carrying civilian passengers to land at the Taji Military Camp.

The flight lasted a mere fifteen minutes, a fraction of the two hour journey usually incurred by those wishing to travel this route, with the associated discomforts (including traffic, security risks and heat) eliminated by a routine helicopter journey.
